Frequency specific microcurrent (FSM)

What is it

Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) is a specialized form of microcurrent therapy used to treat all of the tissues of the body. It is like a gentle nudge to your body’s natural healing system which involves applying very low-level electrical currents to specific areas of the body. These tiny electrical currents are similar to what your nerves already use to target sore spots, and are believed to match the natural vibrations of the body's cellular activities.

The Science

• Research shows that different frequencies of electrical stimulation can target specific tissues
• This can help address cellular imbalances caused by stress, trauma, or inflammation
• Microcurrent devices deliver frequencies and currents in millionths of an amp and have been shown, in published studies, to increase energy (ATP) production in cells by 500%. This is important, as ATP is the primary energy currency used by every single cell in your body. It stores and releases chemical energy to power virtually all cellular processes, including repair and regeneration

Safety

• While FSM has been found to be safe, with rare or minimal side effects, there are some contraindications
• FSM is not to be used during Pregnancy
• FSM should not be used during an Active Infection. If the patient is on antibiotics, treatments can be run with caution
• Caution should be used with Pace Makers and placement of electrodes will be adjusted accordingly

What to Expect

A complete history will be taken to ensure that there are no potential safety issues for you. After our assessment and identification of your specific needs, you'll be able to relax comfortably on the treatment table. We'll apply small electrode pads to your skin, and attach a specialized device with adjustable frequencies. I'll determine and administer the specific frequencies or protocols based on your symptoms and targeted area of focus. 

Because FSM uses energy to target tissues within the body, it is important that you are well hydrated prior to the visit. Water is an important medium in transmitting frequency and that is especially true for your cells. If you are dehydrated, the treatment most likely will not be as effective as it could be.

It is recommended that you wear loose, comfortable clothing to aid in easy attachment of the electrode pads.

The investment is $175 per hour, with a minimum of one hour per visit.
